I was inspired by the Hermione shell mittens, though I did not follow the pattern directly. I used the shell pattern, but crocheted in the round rather than flat and adapted the mittens as I went along. On the wide part of the hand (mid mitten) I increased the 5 tr of the fan to 6 tr (UK terminology, tr = dcr in US terminology). Silver thread has been added to the edges and the flowers can be removed. Love the result.
