**5/2012 update** Great News! Free Pattern!
Woman’s Day Magazine has granted me free permission to post the instructions for this pattern on the internet so that other crocheters can enjoy making this heart. I give Woman’s Day Magazine full credit for the pattern. It’s a free pattern. Here’s a link to my flickr set which has the Woman’s Day “Rose Heart Sachet” pattern:

And here’s a direct link to the largest size photo of the instructions:

I’ve printed a copy and it prints up nicely.
Enjoy!
And, a big Thank You to Woman’s Day Crochet!

This is a modified version of a heart pattern I bought on eBay. The pattern was removed from a magazine and sold to me that way. The name on the pattern is “Rose Heart Sachet”. I modified the bottom rose to have 9 petals around the edge instead of 8 petals, and I decided to leave it as a small doily instead of turning it into a sachet.
I used size 10 Royale Crochet Thread and a size 7 hook.
2/25/2010 Update: I found out which magazine this pattern came from. The pattern can be found in Woman’s Day Granny Squares Number 8. A photo of the magazine cover is here:
