Notes

This cost about $120 out of pocket. And that is because I searched until I found the yarn on sale, got the small beads for a steal and the large beads for free. Otherwise it would have been closer to $150 or more to make.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t forget the YO on the wrong side rows of Chart 1. You will need that YO to make the right side rows work out right.

Size:
46” deep
94” neck edge
293” lace edge

Beads:
Toho Beads #711 (Gun Metal)
Size 11/0 Demi Round
Container weighs 5g empty. Used 1g.

Matsuno Beads #5168SB (Gun Metal)
Size 6/0 Silver Lined, Seed Bead (square hole)
Used 8g.

I accidentally did the last two rows of small beads with the large beads.

Since the 11/0 beads are so small, they get lost in the two-stitch decrease. I found it best to place them on the following right side row before knitting the stitch. For example, the Row 7 beads are placed on Row 9, before knitting.

Skein 1 - 26g (Row 1 to 2 of the 12th repeat)
Skein 2 - 25g (Row 3 of 12th repeat to Chart 2, Row 18)
Skein 3 - 25g (Chart 2, Row 19 to Chart 3, Row 18)
Skein 4 - 26g (Chart 3, Row 19 to Chart 4, Row 11)
Skein 5 - 26g (Chart 4, Row 12 to end)

Chart 1 took 40g.

18g left after binding off.

Using ChiaGoo Spin needle

Rows 1-18
Rows 11-18 (14 times)

Chart 1: Don’t miss the center increase stitch on Row 21. Starting with Row 22 of Chart 1, work all the rest of the WS rows as follows: k3, work to last 3 sts, k3 (basically, leave off the yo on the wrong side).

7/3/22 - Begin Chart 2.

7/13/22 - Begin Chart 4. Has 67 repeats.

Chart 5: NOTE: Chart 5 shows the last row of Chart 4 for clarity. Since I didn’t do the crocheted/picoted bind-off as in the pattern, I did not need to do Chart 5. Instead, I knit each stitch three times, then knit together with the previous stitch to give it a nice, stretchy bind-off.

These totals are approximate:
Chart 1 - (23 hours) Last 8-row repeat took two hours.
Chart 2 - (16 hours) Non-beaded lace row took 40 minutes. Beaded rows took one hour. Purl rows took 40 minutes.
Chart 3 - (21 hours) Purl row 6 took 50 minutes. Non-beaded lace row 7 took 50 minutes. Row 21 took 55 minutes.
Chart 4 - (20 hours) Beaded row 9 took 1.25 hours. Row 13 took 100 minutes.
Bind-off - (7 hours)

65 repeats of Chart 2.
75 repeats of Chart 4.
