7 rows of garter stitch, beginning with a purl round. Did increases at corners on knit rounds.

Bound off with same size needle by knitting 1, placing it back on the left needle, knitting it again, place it back on the left needle and then knit it and the stitch on the right needle together through back loop.

I really hate horizontal gartered edges on blankets. I can never get them to lie flat, even with steam while blocking. If I do this design again, I’ll do a lace, ruffled or vertical garter instead.

It came out relatively small for a sport weight blanket. Maybe because I used an acrylic yarn (doesn’t block as well as wool)? This would be interesting with a nice worsted weight yarn.
