• tubular cast on on 2mm needles
• after setup rows: 5 rows of ribbing
• next row: on back, establish a tab for better fit: rib 16stitches, twin stitch in stitch 17. Turn, rib 2 stitches, twin stitch in third stitch. Turn work, rib to twin stitch, work as it presents, rib two stitches, twin stitch in third stitch. Repeat until middle 28 stitches of back have been done. Continue round 6.
• work 4 more ribbed rows, for a total of 10 without the tab.
• switch to 2.25mm needles.
• 5 rows knit before heel flap
• shift start of heel to BOR
• heel over 31 stitches. Have the edge stitches as knit stitches in all rows and the second to the edge stitches as slip stitches for a neater edge when picking up stitches
• heel flap and turning of the heel in cc1, needle combo for k/p, 40rows, 6cm
• turning the heel: make middle wider by 2 stitches
• pick up 22 stitches on each side for gusset
• decrease to 56 stitches in total
• 50 rows straight after gusset switch colours
• FLK toes over 1-10-6-10-1 sole to top
• 3-needle-BO on the inside
