Pattern test for Emily @willow.andwild on IG

Starting with 86g red glitter, ended with 80g (used 6g).

First note: use lots of st markers!!! It makes a huge difference - mark sts either side of the legs (legs don’t count as sts).

Also: if I’d have thought about it more, I’d have added wire or pipe cleaner to the body and the tail, as they lend themselves to this sort of slinkiness.

Could have also added wire to the wings (crocheted over wire), to give ot more structure.

Wing 1:
R5: sc x2 (should have done FLO?), FLO hdc x4, ch4
R6: BLO when not working into ch

Wing 2:
R5: sc x2, BL&3rd loop hdc x4, ch4
R6: FLO when not working into ch

Honestly struggling with the veining … can’t figure out how FLO 2 loops makes the veins stand out :(

Having to put a pin in for now, because I have no time to dig into it.

Was having trouble with the 1st bead being a bit off-centre, but finally discovered I’d missed a st between the legs, which put my st count out.

Tail was a bit tricky with only 4 sts…!!
