Making this for a secret birthday party for Mara Maravirok (@MaraVirok on IG).

I love the cardboard box here from @tvorcha_kazka on IG, but I’m not a fan of anything that starts/ends* in the middle of a round - it’s so messy and very obvious :( It’s much better to start/end in a corner…

** NOTE * * (I’m thinking of some (but not all) granny squares as well as this box - WHY start anywhere other than the corner?!)

So… having made the box in the pattern (box on the right), I then created my own (in the middle of the photo)!!
