29 May 2024
Adult size. Started initial chain and 1st row.
30 May 2024
Did a few rows, so I could get it to a stage where it’s an easy project to take with me.
31 May 2024
Finished up to R20
1 June 2024
Finished body of bag/purse (R25). Trying to decide if I continue with same colour or switch colours.
Finally decided to do one colour - couldn’t find enough turquoise as contrast.
2 June 2024
Realised I’d done the final row of shells on the WS (as the previous shell rounds were), but it should have been RS facing :(
But also found I was going to run out of wool, so I need to frog back and lise one round of shells.
4 June 2024
Frogged last 2 rounds plus one round of the previous shells. Redid final round of shells.
Strap: ch 220 (MRhD would use cross body bag with approx 200ch, I’d want 220ch).
EDIT: discovered after doing a slst on back bump that it really shortened the strap (knew it would shorten it, but didn’t think by so much), so now it’s not a cross body bag
Found 2 Pandora type beads so I could adjust strap by knotting. Added a smaller doughnut bead as a stopper & knotted cord so it wouldn’t go through the shell in the bag.
Playing yarn chicken again! Drawstring was 140ch, but have reduced to 130ch AND I’ll split the yarn fir the return pass on slst in the back bump.
Edit: Had a bit more than I thought, so went back to 140ch.
