I am using this pattern as the base and adding an interlocking ripple to it… I can’t wait to see how this turns out!!!

I use this chart for my color changes to get the ripple effect.

I use the rule of 5. The first color takes up the first 5 rows with 1 row of the second color as row 6 and then the last row of color 1 with the first color… Here hopefully this will help…
