When I was finished with my Iona Shawl I was quite sad, because I wanted to knit more with this dreamy yarn. Fortunately I remembered, that I needed a birthday present for my mum wich justified the purchase of two more hanks ;)

I was afraid the big cables would eat up so much yarn that I wouldn’t be able to make the scarf long enough. So I changed the three stranded to two stranded cables. The scarf is still nice and wide and also perfectly long with the whole of the two skeins. I made the fringes with some leftover yarn of my Iona Shawl.

The gift was very well received. My mother really loves her cozy new scarf :)
