I started this 4 days ago and I’m already done with the body. I don’t like the fit though. I did two decrease rounds along the body (decreased 8 stitches in total) because I felt it was too wide. That gives it a conical shape though wich isn’t very flattering.
My actual bust measurement is 97cm so I chose size M with a circumference of 113cm for the recommended 10-15cm of ease. My jumper actually measures only about 106cm around the bust unblocked (my gauge is a bit off but that’s okay, might change after blocking). But as I said, I still feel it’s too wide and unflattering on me. Apparently I like a closer fit with bulkier garments. If the fabric was drapier it might work…
So this is my plan: rip back to where sleeves are separated and cast on 4 instead of 8 stitches for each underarm. That means I have 8 stitches less on the needles wich should give me about 6 cm less in circumference, 100cm total. That’s about the same size of my Handspun Dream wich I love the fit of, so fingers crossed!

After a short break, knitting on my wedding shrug, I finished this within maybe four days. Well, almost finished. It still needs to be blocked and the end woven in. Such a quick knit and so fun!
I love my yarn combination and the fit of the body is much better than before. Though it still looks a bit unflattering from the side. I hope blocking will help.
I knit the sleeves with 7 decrease rounds to make them more fitted.

I loooove how it turned out after blocking! It’s the most beautiful thing I ever knit Now I long for winter so I can wear it!!
Here are some other changes I forgot to mention before:
- I felt that the collar would be too bulky doubled up, so I did a tubular cast on and knit only one layer for the collar. In hindsight I kind of wish I had done the folded collar for more structure. As it is, the collar gets pulled down a bit by the weight of the jumper.
- I did a tubular bind off on the body and sleeves for the first time and love how it looks!
