Notes

Making this for myself since I lost my favorite crappy acrylic store bought duster last month. I stupidly left it on the couch in our stateroom when we were leaving our ship. I’ve had it for at least 10 years and managed not to lose it in all that time. It was machine washable and dryable. cry

This coat will be a warm up to knitting the Letho sweater. I’ve never knit a fitted garment, never attempted short rows and have only done simple pseudo cables. I am breaking out of my comfort zone.

Gauge swatch was a bit off but I am knitting the sweater with new ChiaoGoo needles and it is a tad looser so I think I’ll be fine. I’ll check gauge as soon as I’ve knitted enough of the back.

I think it will look nice in the Northampton Bulky. I’m pleased so far.

Slow going, connected the shoulders and started knitting the cables. I have learned that I do NOT like working cables in bulky yarn!

I am going to take my time as I feel the pattern and the yarn are a perfect match. This will be a super cozy sweater, and well worth the effort.

I highly recommend a crochet cast on for this sweater. Hopefully, it won’t take most of you 7 times to get it started!
