I almost regret the day I saw this adorable sock on KnitPicks. This is the most poorly written pattern I have ever come across (and I’ve deciphered patterns written in other languages). As written, it does not work.

To get the increases in CC stitches you need to WRAP & TURN: K 4 CC, Turn, YO / P CC and then MC to CC, Turn, Wrap CC stitch, K back to CC and K all of the CC stitches, Turn, Yo ( the top of the sock works with the diagram and written portion)

I read the PDF at least a dozen times - I see no other way to do this as written - If I missed something please tell me.

Also - what is that heel in the pattern? It didn’t work for me. I used the German Short Row heel.

I frogged the first sock too many times - I was ready to throw it in the fireplace. I also forgot the 2nd half of the german short row heel on 1st sock bc the video I watched (to skip the stitches across the front of the sock) didn’t say “now work the 2nd half” (my bad, I know better!) but I kind of like it. I knitted 2 extra rows of the intarsia after that to make up for the missed rows from 2nd half of GSRH.

My favorite part was embroidering the duplicate stitch bow. Very soothing.
