Even though I met gauge, it’s turning out a little wider than I’d like so it may be turned into a skirt.

So once I added the back portion and attached shoulder straps, it wasn’t nearly as wide as I thought it was going to be.

3rd pic is showing rounds 41 and 42 of how I originally made them which was the wrong way:

(From the way I read the pattern, I was making 2 dc into each stitch before and after the 2dc V-stitch…thus expanding the dress too quickly)

When it really should have been read as:
“1 dc in the next 2 sts, 2dc V-stitch in chain 1 sp, 1 dc in next 2 sts” (4th pic — correct way)

Pic #7 is the dress technically ‘completed’, as it’s round 69, but I’m going to keep going until I run out of yarn because it’s not quite long enough yet.

This jawn took for-ev-va but, I’m finally finished!

Had enough yarn left to continue until there were 78 rounds.
Steam blocked it and all that’s left to do is weave in the ends.

I bought a black full cami slip to wear underneath so it’s not as see through.

I’m thinking about adding something along the straps to reinforce them since they’ll droop as it gets more wear… hmm
