Work (k2, p1) rib for 5”
Work (sl1, k1) across 32 STS for heel flap for a total of 18 selvedge STS per side.

Heel: 11, 10, 11

Instep: Every 3rd row 2x, Every 2nd row until 64 STS remain.

Foot: continue to rib 31, 33 sole sts

Toe: knit 1 row stockinette, move 1 St so that 31/33 becomes 32/32.
Dec every 2nd row 4x, then every row until 9x2 STS remain

These socks were squeezed in between other projects but I’m glad I finally got them done. They are among my favourite now. I’m always surprised at how much of a different a bit of ribbing makes. I will be doing this rib pattern again.

The yarn was quite nice to work with and is a very beautiful colourway. I’m looking forward to the next skein in my stash. Some of the colour came off on my hands during knitting, and they did dull a bit after a few washings but its still a beautiful colour and to be fair I was not gentle with the wash. They seem to be stable now.
