The yarn was a hand-dyed fibre spun by my mom.

I made the hat lined for warmth, and I used some leftover sock yarn to have a softer fabric next to the forehead and ears.

The fingerless mitts have ribbing around the fingers that can be folded back when you need your fingers free to work on something, and then can be unfolded for warmth.

I knit the hat and first mitt at home, and finished the mitts in Bon Echo park. I blocked the mitts in Lake Mazinaw and steam blocked them over the campfire while wearing the hat :)
