This was a kit my mom purchased. She had knit to the soldier’s neck (top down) but her tension was wrong and it was severely puckered. I’m pretty sure this was her first colorwork piece and if she had ripped back and started again she would have gotten the hang of it.
8-2-14 -- Finished the knitting today, the four year anniversary of Mom’s death. A nice way to honor her, I think. Overstitching and one seam remain. I should finish up tomorrow.
8-4-14 -- Seaming and overstitching done yesterday along with the hanger loop. Instead of a braid I crocheted a length and tied it on, using the seam for support. I mattress seamed the leg and the cuff, seaming the cuff on the wrong side as it folds over.
