I so rarely make knitted items for myself, and I’ve never made myself a lace shawl in all the years I’ve been knitting. This Samhain was a very important time for me, and this is a new shawl for a new year in which I am going to try very hard not to put myself second. It feels wonderful.

These colors are really hard to photograph due to the shine of the fiber. The first round of pictures were taken in a dim living room… better photos to come.

I had to photograph this right away, even though the light is rubbish. I did 5 repeats of chart A instead of the recommended 2… probably would have had enough yarn to do 6. Love this yarn, love this pattern!

I’ll be adding some pink swarovski crystal beads. The most recent pictures don’t show the pink to its best effect, but I’ll take more pics post-bead (if I can take the scarf off long enough to sew them on and take more pics). It’s so soft!
11/2/10 - So in love with the color, shine, and softness of this yarn. My first object from my first wheel-spun yarn. Currently at 109 stitches in the stockinette section. Tempted to see how quickly I can crank this out, but also so in love with the process that I don’t want to finish.
