The little toy idea came from the film Despicable Me (excellent animated film). The little red beanie is just a regular baby beanie - similar to this one -.

The Girlie ‘Minion’ is knitted with ‘toe-up’ cast on on 2 (3)dpns; knit in the round - increasing alternate rows; leave gap for arms, then decrease till same amount of stitches (more or less) that you began with. Add arms separately (cast on to body itself); Sew up all seams except one arm - after knitting the 2nd arm - stuff then sew up.

You can knit this to your own sizing.
