My second Island Lace Scarf.
This time I knew the quirks of this yarn, so made sure I didn’t have to undo anything.
Result was that I was able to use nearly the whole skein and the scarf was longer than the first one I did here.

Pattern:

Chained 34 to begin, so made 5 shell sets per row rather than 4.

Ch row = 7mm hook.
Rest of pattern = 6mm hook.

I added shells to the beginning row, because I think the large chs don’t give a great finish.
Problem is, this is a fudge as you are crocheting in the opposite direction so it doesn’t quite match.

I made it look good, but next time I will try something else…
Pattern Suggestion for next time:
Perhaps work in each direction from a chain row in the centre of the scarf?
It would mean cutting the skein into 2 balls of matching size to do this, but worth a try.

Measures:
68.5 inches (174 cms) in length.
6 inches (15.25 cms) wide laid flat.
5 inches (12.75 cms) wide when round the neck as the yarn naturally culrs into place.

Colours:
I have tried again and again, but I just can’t get a good colour match with the camera on my phone - hence so many pictures

The ‘parrot’ yarn is nice, bright and cheerful (and seemed a little thicker and less ‘breaky’ than the dragonfly yarn used last time), but it is a pain to take pictures of!
The first picture is pretty close to the colour (on my monitor anyway! ).

I have some more Unforgettable yarn in other colour sets, so will make at least one more of these.
Nice, easy and quick pattern which produces a great product for not much work.
