Nice, open mesh design Spring/Summer Poncho patter and just what I was looking for.

Working the pattern:
Pattern is very easy to understand and quick to work.

I did make some changes:
I wanted a wider neckline, so chained 116 to begin (5mm hook).
Used 4mm hook for the rest.

When the neckline becomes the poncho body, there are additional stitches to add. But, as I had already
increased stitches for the neckline I had to do some maths .
I made myself a little graph to spread out the increases evenly and then used the same number of stitches as pattern wanted to continue.

I also didn’t want such a deep ‘V’ at front and back, so on the dc rows, I used 2dc, ch1, 2dc, rather than 3.

I also didn’t want the poncho to swing to one side, so I turned on each 2nd dc row and on some of the full blocks of mesh stitches (this may not be a problem for you - it’s just that I crochet stitches which are a little taller than average and that can cause a swing to the side if repeated too often).

Added extra repeat rows to use up the yarn and to have a longer poncho. I split the last 8 mesh rows into 2 sections, with dc rows in between.

Also added another set as above, followed by 6 mesh rows. Then continued pattern as written.

Whole of Twister used bar a couple of yards.

Poncho Measurements after blocking:
Length (centre neck to ‘V’ at hem - front and back): 30 inches (76cms).
Centre neck to ‘elbow’: 22 inches (56.5cms).
Wingspan laid flat: 38.75 inches(98cms).

Will use this pattern again, especially now I know that it’s a perfect fit for a Twister.
