Such a fun bunting to make - based on geometric shapes and colours, and has no ‘right side’ so can hang across a room - so great to decorate my room and fun for a party! So thinking of my grand-daughter and what colours she would like
Quick and easy to make - managed a shape in an hour watching TV and such a change from the usual triangles etc as every shape is different so keeps you on your toes, plus colour changes - so not boring to make
This is not only pretty but you can use it to teach young children their shapes and colours and colour theory.
Square, rectangle, circle, pentagon, hexagon, triangle, so you can use shape or all of them in any colours!
Plus a slotted ribbon to make it easy to hang up or add embellishments such as award ribbons, rosettes etc
Great fun to do and a good way to learn crochet shapes
This pattern came about as Julie was hosting an event for charity as her dear friend Sue who recently died from cancer, leaving a young son and husband.
Julie wanted a fun bunting design in yellows . to help raise funds …. so after much hunting ……….. more chatting (yes we can talk for Yorkshire and England), and as it was all going to a Primary school I thought ………..ah-ha . light bulb moment …….a bunting with a purpose - teaching aid …mmmmmm ….. geometric shapes ………and ……….colours and colour theory …………….and finally Geometry was born!!
All the bunting made will go to the local Primary School where her son goes - so the bunting can be enjoyed by all - children & parents and hopefully bring a smile to their faces
Her event was a great success, lots bunting sold and much given to the school - so pleased :-))
