8.7.15 Yep, still working on it. So knitting stocking stitch in the round is boring, obviously. And when you do it in fingering weight, it’s also slow. Obviously. Which makes it the perfect project to work on to feel productive when you’re binge watching TV. You don’t even have to pay attention to what you’re knitting right? Until you realise near the end of the third ball that you’ve been paying so little attention that you’ve somehow picked up about twenty extra stitches. (Seriously how do you even do that and not notice?). Sigh. I suppose I can frog back, I suppose. sobs quietly

17.8.15 So this has been sitting in the bag of shame for a while now… I’m starting to think maybe it’s going to become a Ravenclaw cowl instead so I can finish it and stop feeling guilty. But first I have to frog back and get rid of those extra stitches. I’m not putting it off, honest.
(side note: just noticed my spell checker doesn’t recognise “Ravenclaw”. Have now lost all faith in my spell checker).

Will start this as soon as I find the right wool. Almost starting to regret my insistence on book colours, bronze yarn is proving incredibly difficult to find. Seriously, is it the one colour that no one makes?
So I’m using the project page to keep track of my continuing search for the perfect yarn.

Red Heart Soft Solids and Heathers seems about the right colour. Would have to buy online.

Lamb’s Pride Worsted looks okay, maybe a little orange, but again, not available in Aus.

Bernat Satin Sport Solids is just a little bit light, but had a nice metallicy sheen.

Found a good yarn at Wool Addiction, picked it up thinking oh this might worOHMYGOSH IT COSTS HOW MUCH? Puts it down and backs away slowly.

9.10.14 Came across Wollmeise Pure in a forum. Just about the right colour.

15.10.14 Knit Picks Palette yarn in Hazelnut is nice.
They don’t ship internationally, but my brother’s in the US so maybe if I ask him nicely…
31.12.14 So I’ve pretty much decided I want the Knit Picks Palette in Hazelnut and Navy. Now I just need to work out how much I need and bribe my brother…
