Notes

Third charm wins all. This is the third time I have knit a Combinatorics Shawl, this time with a gradient yarn.

Botanical inspiration?
The yarn reminds me of fruit gumdrops and flowers. In particular, some of the many shades of azaleas that grow and bloom in the MidSouth. Fruit and flowers are both botanical, so ‘nuff said. Right?

May 4.
Well, I think I’ll slip the shawl, so recently begun, onto a metallic circular needle. The bamboo is slowing me way, way down. In another lace pattern or two, I may change from 4’s to 5’s. (The designer suggests 6’s, but I don’t like the flimsy look. I knit pretty loose, these days.)
