Precious handspun scraps.
I can’t throw them away, not even a yard. ;0/
So, they get made into mini scrappy granny squares.
We’ll see what the future holds for these little gems.

My first years worth of spinning is in that scrappy handspun blanket. I was spinning through joy, disappointments, tears and laughter.
The fledgling yarn stayed there in a basket for over 4 years until I decided, I either had to part with it or try to make it into something.
All the over spun, under spun and whoopsies went into this blanket and now I think it’s probably the most favorite thing I’ve ever created other than my kids. Maybe one day grandkids will snuggle under this beside me. :0)

Just got my Handspun Blanket back.
YAY!… cause it’s turned cold again.
It was on loan for the Baby It’s Cold Outside exhibit from 11/18/16 to 2/12/17 at the Kemerer Museum in Historic Bethlehem Pennsylvania.
You can spot it in the background of the exhibit, behind glass. :O)
