Notes

Another super useful jumper for the winter wardrobe. Will definitely knit more from Tin Can Knits as I enjoyed the construction. Used twisted rib for the cuffs and collar to neaten up the 1 x 1, otherwise all as pattern. Went up a size bigger than normal and it’s very comfy.

This Saltaire yarn continues to be magical, it’s so light and soft. I ended up only using 871 metres which is way less than the pattern should require, not quite sure how that works; I have 5 balls left over out of the 12 I originally estimated!

Ripped back and restarted the cables 3 times, not because of any great mistakes and the pattern was clear, but because I knew I could get them neater! Eventually mastered the technique of wrapping the first purl stitch after the cable clockwise to eliminate ladders, and working very carefully on the tips of the needles to get the left side of the cable stitches tight.
