Notes

It’s time to try these again. (This pattern was my first patterned sock- the pattern worked out just fine, but I really needed a lesson in yarn choice!) The challenge- a cotton with elastic yarn, something I’ve never used before.

Daylight savings time is tomorrow- so spring forward was perfectly timely.

Man- finding the right needle size has been tough! I started with size 2 needles, did the ribbing and the first half of the pattern repeat- wow, very big… fits the top of my calf okay, but will be way loose on my leg, went down to a size 1.5- finished the cuff, woah, still really big.

Okay, new approach. Doing a 55 stitch sock on size 2.5 needles now.

The picture showing 2 unfinished socks- that’s weekend 1 of knitting, this pattern is fast. The one on the left is getting frogged, the one on the right the 55 stitch version- perhaps a little tighter than I’d like, but it works…

3/15- first sock down. Man are these fast

Decided to do the second sock mirror image.
