Notes

I bought a scarf (Gap brand) from Savers for $1.99 and turned it into a hat and scarf. I wished now I had taken a photo of the scarf in it’s original form. I got the idea of doing this when I watched a YouTuber make recycling yarn look sooooo fun. I’ve done it three times and have only been able to yield this hat (and scarf). At least it wasn’t a complete waste. You have to be really careful what you choose to unravel because a lot of knitted sweaters, scarfs, etc are machine made and impossible to disassemble.

The label said 50-50% wool acrylic. I loved how the colors went together. I took it apart and yielded 10.5 oz. I made a scarf too, just haven’t bought the buttons for it yet.

MODS:Did a HDC at the end of the yellow and finished off with 2 sc with my H hook to make it fit my head better.

Tried the flower tutorial (was hard to understand at first), I didn’t get it perfect this time. Anyhoo…added a border and cute button. Will make this again :)
