I would be remiss if I didn’t add how truly beautiful this is in person. It was challenging but worth every minute!

Needed D hook to obtain gauge. The yarn is splitty but I really like the feel of it and it’s so forgiving when you frog it back.

Nov 16: working on sleeves

So far my sweater seems too small. I hope I can block it and make it a little bigger. Fingers crossed!

Nov 20: sleeves finally done. I don’t know where my head was at but I was trying to finish one of the sleeves and I hadn’t finished the mandala portion! Ugh… THEN on the other sleeve I had 6 versus 5 dc groups - and for an hour couldn’t figure out why my stitching was and had to frog that back too. This is a reminder I cannot get lazy and not count my rows.

I made up the bottom of the jacket imitating a couple of unique stitches on the top. This took days for me to figure out. I wanted a longer sweater so I persisted

Used an E hook for the border. I made it thicker and am not using buttons. Need to weave in the ends.
