A gorgeous and enjoyable pattern that works up so quickly! I modified mine slightly as follows:

1. Magic ring start
2. Changed all popcorn to puff stitch (with 3yo)
3. Ended pattern instruction after completing row 12
4. My finishing row: slst into space (leave room in the beginning of space for the last dc in this round) ch1 Repeat start: 3sc in same sp, sc in each of the next 8 stitches, hdc in next, (dc, 2st-picot (insert 2nd chain into base stitch of chain start rather than first chain for firmer stitch), dc) in next stitch, hdc in next st, sc in each of the next 8 st, 3 sc in sp, dc in same space, 2st-picot (same style as above), dc in next space, around, and join.
