I am knitting this shawl for Toni Ann. I want it to be a big hug of warmth and love surrounding her. Her husband, Randy, was a good friend of my family when we needed friends the most. We love you Randy and we will never forget you. Your family will forever be in our prayers.

I love the color combination that I am using. This has been an easy knit. I cannot say enough how much I love the madelintosh pashmina!!! It is wonderful to knit!

June 2, 2013: I have 10 grams of the madelinetosh pashmina left in Luster. Whew! I wasn’t sure I would have enough to finish the lace section. I had enough of this yarn left to knit the two rows in the edging section. I am casting off using a size 2.75mm crochet needle and I am crocheting a three loop chain instead of two.

It is fitting that I will finish this shawl today because it is the day of Randy’s Journey Blessing and luncheon. Today will be a celebration of Randy’s life. I wish I could be there but I am thinking of you and Toni Ann, Gianna and Brittany as I finish this shawl. Love you, Randy . . .
