from the pattern - skip the two centre (UK)tc / (US)dc in each “inner point” of the star. Otherwise you’ll end up with a pentagon. (which is also nice, but of course not when you’re wanting to do a star!

2014.02.05 > Hmmm, the baby I was making this for has turned out to be a boy! hahah! I should never trust my instinct, or at least stick with the team ‘yellow’ colours if the parents are leaving it to be a surprise. Ah well, I knew the risk … ! Going to put it to the side and continue wiht another blanket for the present. Wll pick this up at some point in the future.

2014.05.11 > I have picked this up again and I’ve been working on it now for a few more evenings. I’ve just finished the second pink stripe and honestly I’m now not sure as to whether I like the colour combo. In theory, it’s ok but I think it suits other patterns better. But still, I’m NOT going to hibernate it. I WILL finish it and live in hope that I’ll find someone who likes it and wants it.
