OK, this yarn color is pretty popular, it seems all little baby girls will be having nurseries in this color this year. Ah, 2020 such a crappy year, what with Covid-19 and such. So this is cheery anyway.

I watched Jennifer of Cinnamon Stitches, tutorial on how to do this stitch when she demonstrated making a baby blanket from Premier yarn spool. I have wanted to learn how to do this box stitch afghan for awhile and her tutorial is excellent. Once I had the basics down I was off and crocheting. Completed the C2C square and did a round of HDC in white, then a round of DC in the Mandala yarn. Then did the granny stitch for 3 rows. A round of DC in the Mandala yarn and then I did the edging in backwards sc, as it’s one of my favorite edgings. Then, I wanted to add a little yellow to the blanket and saw this great tutorial for a crocheted applique on you tube, which I had to do and I added yellow trim as well as attached it to the blanket with yellow embroider stitches. OK, that was cute, but not enough, did a search for crochet butterfly appliques and fell in love with these on http://beautifulcrochetstuff.com/crochet-butterfly-free-p.... So much fun and completed the look.
