Love how this worked up. I did control the colors a bit, when finished with the first cake I started with the next color sequence from cake 2, which meant taking out the center 2 colors, then when that cake was complete I rewound the last cake to get the colors in the correct order without working from the outside.

Finished the main blanket on March 5th. Next morning I did a round of white HDC with 4 in each corner and followed with the main color for an edging I found in the book, “Around the Corner Crocheted Borders” by Edie Echman. I did border #25 and to get it to lay as flat as possible skipped 3 sts when necessary instead of 2sts as the directions state to keep the edge flat and not ruffled.

The blanket is 40 inches square and very snuggly.
