Notes

I had purchased a generic circular knitter last year for the grandchildren to play with while I was using my CSM. I have a small 22 needle knitter and a larger 40 needle knitter. Decided to check out which yarns work best on the larger knitter by making some long tubes using up lots of left over balls of worsted (4) weight acrylic yarns I have. After then first tube was done I showed my 7 year old grandson what I made and he immediately asked if he could have it. I was tickled he wanted it so asked if he wanted fringe or pom poms on it. Pom poms was the immediate answer. His sister wanted one too so I made another for her. I was having so much fun making these (and the kids love wearing them) that I made one for my friends granddaughter and I’m still making more. A teacher asked my Grandson where his Skittle Scarf was on the day he did not wear it to school because it was 70 degrees out that day. The name has stuck and seems fitting, they are “all the colors of the rainbow” like the candy after all. LOL

I don’t have a set pattern, I knit until it looks long enough and then stop. Gather both ends and attach big pom poms. Easy peasy.
