Notes

Lily has a Father-Daughter dance for Girl Scouts coming up and I wanted to knit a little shrug to go with her fancy dress. This was the perfect use of some of my handspun yarn. I had bought this as a raw fleece which I washed, dyed with Kool-Aid (red and purple and left some white), combed into top using my hand combs, and then spun on my little Road Bug. The complete “Sheep to Shrug” experience.

I followed the pattern with the Aran weight yarn expecting to have to increase the size for a 5 year old, but it worked out following the 18 month instructions. I increased the length of the arms to fit her. To make fitted sleeves, I decreased on every 6th row five times.
