Notes

Come on baby… don’t fear the reaper!

Totally futzy knit. Like … over the top futzy. But so adorable, and perfect for my Halloween-loving daughter.

Pattern is quite detailed on the assembly, but a little hazy now and again on the knitting. (You’ll have to make some assumptions here and there.)

When it comes to the bony fingers… here are a few tips:

1 -- I used 2 strands of yarn, about 14” long for each finger. I made a twisted cord that ended up about 6 1/2” long.
2 -- Once I had five “fingers” for each hand, I laid them out, lined them up, and then wove a strand of yarn (on a needle) through the “finger” strands, back and forth, for about an inch (the “hand”).

I did a lot more “tacking” (of the hood, the cowl, the hands, the arms, etc.) than suggested in the pattern.

Erin and I thought the eyes were a bit too “cute” … and she wanted a more “sinister” Reaper, so I found some rather perfect buttons to use instead.
