I have knitted and unravelled several squares before I was 100 % happy with my Campanula pattern. This is the final result: a square knitted from the center out with a yarn of your choice.

Thanks to this knitting technique you end up with neatly bound off stitches all the way around, which makes it ever so easy to seam the squares together.

Jag har stickat och rivit upp ett antal rutor innan jag blev 100 % nöjd med mitt Campanula-mönster. Det här är slutresultatet: en ruta stickad från mitten och utåt med vilket garn du vill.

Tack vare den här sticktekniken har rutans fyra sidor av ett enda sammanhängande avmaskningsvarv. Det här gör det väldigt lätt att sy ihop rutorna med varandra.

Had a break from the actual throw project to test what a single coloured would look like if you join squares with the join-as-you-go crochet technique instead of seaming. Looking good, I’d dare say! Bind-off is then executed after round 28.

Tog en paus från det faktiska filtprojektet för att testa hur en enfärgad skulle se ut om man istället för att sy virkar ihop rutorna med tekniken join-as-you-go. Ser bra ut, måste jag säga! Avmaskningen görs då efter varv 28.

Making good progress! I clocked the making of one square just out of pure interest. It takes me 1-1.25 hrs to complete one, including darning in of loose ends.

Det går framåt fint! Av rent intresse har jag tajmat stickningen av en ruta. Det tar mig 1-1,25 timme att slutföra en inklusive fästning av garnändar.

I’m halfway there! 32 out of 63 squares are done as of today.

Halvvägs där! 32 av 63 rutor är färdiga per idag.

Ran out of antique rose with only five more squares to go and the local retailer doesn’t have any in stock. Simply frustrating it is. S’pose I will get on with the tedious task of blocking all of the already finished squares instead.

Med bara fem rutor kvar att sticka fick jag slut på det gammalrosa garnet och den lokala detaljisten har inte mera i lager. Helt enkelt frustrerande. Antar att jag får lov att sätta igång med den trista biten att blocka alla färdiga rutor istället.

All 63 pieces sewn together and only a few loose ends to darn in. Tomorrow it’s time for the »Tadaah!» of the year, 27 days after I cast on for the first square.

Alla 63 delar är nu sammanfogade och jag har bara några lösa trådar att fästa. Imorgon är det dags för årets »Tadaa!», 27 dagar efter att jag lade upp för den första rutan.
