The yarn is a gift from a friend with instructions to make something for baby Liam.
Unfortunately this comes just during a time when I am scaling back on knitting due to health issues ( torn rotary cuff).
Hubby suggested a small cowl.
CO 78 sts , enough to go over a 17“ ( 3 month old) head..
Using the German twisted CO and work 3 rounds in 1x1 ribbing.
Next round: knit
Next round: change color and k
Next 2 rounds : purl
Next round: knit
Next rounds: repeat last 4 rounds

after 2“ I BO 12 sts in the back, then k2tog or P2tog at beginning and end of every row.
BO when 12 sts were left using a stretchy BO.
