In the increase rows, I knit the first stitch, then kfb into the second stitch or on the WS row kfb into second to last stitch and k last stitch.
Likewise I knit the first stitch and knit together the second and third stitch in the decrease rows; or in WS k to last 3 sts, then k2tog, k.. I also slip the first stitch of the straight selvage edge for easier seaming.

Will have to re-start as I don’t have enough of the white knitpicks Comfy yarn left. I will have to either incorporate another color of the same yarn as there should be some left over after I finish the blanket or I use another yarn.

Using this beautiful mercerized cotton yarn and will use white or off-white for the crochet border.
Knitting both front halves at the same time this time.

Finally did the seaming ( my least favorite thing to do).

Since this is for a boy, I fastened the ties on the sideseams OUTSIDE on the right side and INSIDE on the left side.
And just like that, it is finished.
