At this point I don’t even know who I am making these for; perhaps for Tony because some of his socks are wearing out and I know that he likes to wear mostly the hand knitted socks.
I started these, because I had hurt my foot and knew that I would not be doing a lot of walking at the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival 2024, so I needed something easy to knit, grabbed one ball of this yarn and needles. To not get my bag too bulked up, I started with only one sock rather than the two at a time I usually do.

Decided, these will be for Tony. Increased stitch count to 74 just before starting on the heel flap.

Heel is turned and gusset finished.
This is a Cinderella sock as I have Tony try it on ever so often
He has thin ankles, a high arch and wide foot which ends in curly toes….

Just after the arch I started 3x2 ribbing on the top of the foot.
12-02-2024
Tried it on; another 5 inches to finish( from red marker)
12-04-2024
At this point ( 5“ to finishing), I also start decreasing
Both top and sole K2, ssk, k to last 4, k2tog, k2
After 1 1/2 inches, I repeat the decreases and get a total stitch count of 68.
Then, after another 1 1/2 inches, I will start the toe decreases doubling the yarn with the reinforcing yarn.

Finished the first sock. It’s a perfect fit!
12-10-2024
Started on the second sock. 11 rounds of 2x2 ribbing; trying to get a color match.
12-12-2024
In order to catch up with he color sequence, I added a few rounds with some Hedgehog Fiber remnants. Only later ( when I was unwilling to redo this section), I thought that I could have doubled the thinner Hedgehog Fiber with the reinforcing yarn I use on the heelflap and toe, but I think it is fine the way it is.

About to start on the heel flap of the second sock.
