I will make two hats in opposite colors for my son and his wife. They got a new puppy this year and these hats will keep them warm when they walk her.
Please note: The above amount of yarn is for TWO hats.
I like that proceeds of the pattern sales go to animal shelters.
I choose these two colors because I am deliberately aiming for a not too strong contrast; looking for that” oh, that’s paw prints!” reaction.
Since I am a Continental knitter, I am using this method to catch my floats: Catch floats in Continental knitting.
Finished the first hat in just a little over a day. I was determined to find out wether or not at had enough yarn for a second hat and I am happy to say that I do!!!
Main color: I have 45 g left of 113 g original amount; I used 68g of the Main Color
Contrasting Color: I have 95g left of 113g original; thus I used 18 g of the Contrasting Color.

10.22. Finished the second hat just as fast and couldn’t be more pleased. They came out really nice!

10.26. I did wet-block them today ( adding a little white vinegar with the Soak to set the colors). They are drying on balloons as suggested by several fellow knitters I had asked for advice on what’s the best way to block these. Knitters are the best; knitters in Suzanne Bryan’s Facebook group are the very best
