The yarn and pattern were gifted to me a while ago. With spending so much time at home during COVID19 , I finally picked this up.
I needed something relatively simple to knit. My other WIP‘s need seaming , felting and a little more attention ( brioche).
I like the size of Sharnette‘s Centrique and am considering to also carry on with the st st section to 173 sts to get a larger size. I know I would actually wear it in the larger size.
I will look through my stash to see if there is a yarn of the same or similar weight which could blend with this olive color. I only need another 100 yards or so and would do the final lace edge in the complimentary yarn…

June,23: knitted to 173 sts and started on the first lace chart.

Had to use the Peau de Soie for the last 16 rows.
The yarn is a tad heavier but possibly only because of the different fiber content ( is silk heavier than Merino?). The gauge looks the same.
I like the way it all worked out. I like the way the peridot color gives the shawl a bit of a kick as in Emeril Lagasse’s cooking…BAM.

June 30 : A big shout out for the designer, Carol Feller. I had an old printed version of the pattern with an Errata in the final RS row of the edging and she not only clarified how to work the row, but also gifted me with the updated version of the pattern.
Finished knitting, now on to blocking.

Blocking to 83” wingspan and 31 1/2 “ height.
