This looks like the perfect project for all these reasons:

1. Knitting this during the coronavirus which ( I pray) will become a faded memory for all of us.
2. This is an easy project to knit while Watching TV, chatting,
3. I am presently working on the cowl version of the MKAL “Climbing Mountains” and it is gigantic. I am having fun with the knitting and the different clues, but I think that cowl will be much bigger than what I understand a cowl to be. That’s why I want to knit up a regular sized cowl, too.
4. I will use up some stash yarn.

Changes:

• Using Jenny’s stretchy cast on

• Will go one direction only ( left leaning) throughout the project, spiraling.

3.24. I was going to use the leftover charcoal color Hedgehog sock yarn , but when looking through my stash I came across this green yarn which may even be Sport weight ( no label). It is obviously left over from some other project. It looks so much like Spring and new beginnings that I had to pick this one for the cowl.
The darker one is Malabrigo Sock yarn from my Aurita Shawl and the very light color is Hedgehog skinny single from a different shawl, but I don’t know where the MC yarn comes from. I wish I did because I like the feel of it a lot.
The stitch used is similar to / part of the stitch used in the Autumn Bandana which I like a lot and wear often.

Top border done up in Hedgehog and Shibui held together.
Bind off with Jenni’s stretchy bind off.
Came out really nice.
