Notes

I was determined not to knit another pair of socks for hubby until he would pick out a yarn for them and that’s what happened.
He wants more cotton socks and wanted the raspberry red (I call it pink).
It has been at least six months since my last pair of socks and I have been feeling a little unhinged not knowing what to knit to relax. My other projects take a little more concentration.
I could not be happier to finally be knitting socks again.
I am using the Fascine Braid Socks pattern just for the stitch otherwise I am using my regular toe up sock construction with the FLK heel.

I love that stitch pattern. It lays more flat than most cables, is easy to remember and looks great.
I started over the 32 instep stitches with k2, p4, k4, p4, k4, p4,k4, p4, k2 and then doing the pattern stitch over the three k4 stitches. Once at the cuff I redistributed the stitches to have four k4,p4 on the front and four in the back.

7.3. Turned both heels today.

8.15. This has been an on and off project which I had meant to take along on a trip, but finished today. Came out lovely.
When I seamed in the ends I tried out the fray check on the yarn ends as recommended by Laura Nelkin in her Novel T pattern.
