I cast these on as a project during my 2014 road trip with hubby. Only seems fair I should knit something for him since he is doing all the driving and I think I can do these “in my sleep”.
For the last couple of inches of the cuff I switched to the smaller needle using the magic loop method.

January 2021 By now both socks needed repair. In the first repair I darned and patched. When I had to repair the other sock this month I knitted up a giant patch 32 sts for 10 rows, then work half of the FLK heel and bind off after the boomerang row. Then attach to the sock. Looks very neat and really strengthens the area under the heel which seems to get the most stress.
