I went twice through my stash to find a yarn close to the same weight as the red Brooklyn Tweed Loft. In the end I decided on the Angora Yarn, the same I used for the SKREPPA cowl. It is marginally lighter.
I want my cowl shorter than the 48” medium length and will work clue 2 and 3 , the stripes, to 19” ( I was aiming for 18”, but went over) from center for a total length of 38” to get the cowl around my neck twice , snug.
In clue 2 I work 5 instead of 8 ridges in M( 10 rows) then 1 ridge in C (2 rows) for a total of 42 ridges.
Also, rather than counting all of the sts once in a while, I marked 60 sts in the middle and only need to make sure that the remaining sts add up to 14 for a total of 74 sts. Moving the markers once in a while.
For clue 3 I work 2 ridges in M (4 rows), 2 ridges in C( 4 rows), 2 ridges in M (4 rows) , 6 ridges in C (12 rows) three times, then the first 6 ridges (12rows) once more.
And on to the final triangle which pulls it all together and finishes it.

About half way through the final triangle ( clue 4), I switch the color distribution to 3 ridges in M and 1 ridge in C.
10.2. Finished and I love it. The length came out perfectly the way I like it.
