I made one of these for a co-worker : Jen’s Mulberry Cowl and by chance I ended up with just the right yarn to make this one for myself.
I had purchased the Spincycle yarn originally for the brioche section on my Helenium sweater, but ended up not using it.
The cashmere is a gift / extra skein from hubby when he bought the cashmere yarn for the vest I made him.
The pattern is easy to follow and the result quite stunning.

Instead of knitting the first three rounds, I knit one round, purled one round, then knit one round, then worked the first round of Fisherman’s Rib in the MC.

This is the third project for which I am using Eco Cashmere and there is quite a difference between this dyed blue cashmere and the gray natural color. This one is not as soft, probably because of the dye. I am hoping that it will soften when washed and I am hoping that the color won’t bleed…

It is coming along nicely.
I kept going until I used up all of the cashmere yarn.
I finished with the Spincycle yarn , determined to stop on blue. To get there I did have to cut out about one yard. After the last row in CC, I purled two rows, knit two rows, purled two rows and bound off purl-wise using Jenny’s stretchy bind off.
