In the end, during the crown decreases, I ran out of the solid CC and went back to using the variegated yarn. I don’t mind it so much in the wave pattern and like how it wraps it up nicely by repeating the darker section.

It looks much better now; the pattern is reminiscent of the work of MC Escher; my all time favorite artist.

After 10 rows in patternI decided that I didn’t like the look with the variegated yarn, especially when it changed to the darker teal color. I took another deep dive into my stash and considered several possibilities. In the end I choose a solid light blue. Hopefully I have enough until I get to the crown which I will work in chart C ( waves) and at which point I will switch back to the variegated yarn. I hope it will look ok. I could go back and restart, but don’t much like that idea

Dived into my stash for this one.
I think it will make a nice hat for someone working in the seafood department of a local market.

I am using the two handed fair isle knitting method, holding the dark Ivy green in my left hand and knitting it Continental style and holding the multi lighter colored yarn in my right hand and throwing it.
