Making these to go with the hat.

Instead of a provisional cast on, I cast onto two needles using Judy’s magic cast on.
I am also knitting up both socks at the same time.

Because I returned the library book “ One skein Wonders for Babies “ before checking how to work the SP2P, I followed these directions: https://www.knittingunlimited.com/2023/08/left-slanting-d...

Do NOT follow the pattern as written. When it says to start the decreases on row 16 which is a WS row, your sock will come out wonky.
The increases and decreases should line up with each other and voila, you have a lovely sock. Start the decreases on either row 15 or 17 with the center stitch of the double decrease being in line with the stitch between the increases.

Just one more thought on these.
It felt at times as if I was following one of EZ’s pithy patterns. The construction only finally made sense in the end.

Heard back from Andrea today which made me feel better and she will correct the errata in the pattern.

“Thank you so much for letting me know exactly what it is and where. I will correct the pattern.

I hope the recipient enjoys these socks!
